Heckled by Congress....

Here's a sketch I drew after the speech to congress about healthcare reform. I could not believe the level of disrespect coming from certain republican members of congress. As awful a president as Bush was, no democratic congressman ever heckled him in this sort of way. I felt like I was watching a movie last night. I think Obama's speech was well written and fairly reassuring. Time will tell but I'm optimistic so far.

How true , there's nothing to fear about universal health-care , just ask the rest of the developed world.

My folks have US citizenship , and pay through the nose for health insurance that probably doesn't even cover everything :-(

We've got it pretty good up here in Canada , don't believe the right wing special interest funded propaganda that would tell you otherwise.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Dominic - Thanks for giving the Canadian perspective on the issue. I hope more people start listening.

Hey Larry, you had me worried for a second haha. Hopefully I can make this into a finished illustration at some point.
