Romney Loses by a Nose

I know, corny, but I can't deny my lame sense of humor. Anyway, the word "lie" was thrown around so much during the campaign, I couldn't resist drawing this.

Washington Post Express - 20 Years of the Improv

This is a recent illustration for Art Director Adam Griffiths at the Washington Post Express. The idea was to illustrate a number of notable comedians who started out performing at the DC Improv. I hope I did them all justice.

The Spectator - Sad/Happy Films

This is a recent illustration for The Spectator in London. The article is about the depressing nature of many English documentaries and how some film makers are looking to make more positive films. Thanks to Liz Anderson for the assignment and choosing my favorite sketch to bring to final.

Baseball Cards for AEG Live Concerts

Once again, this summer I'm illustrating and designing baseball cards for select AEG Live concerts at the Mann Center in Philadelphia. Each card will portray the musician or band as baseball players and pay tribute to specific baseball cards throughout the years. These are the first three but there are many more to come. Also if you go to the concerts you will be handed one at the gate!

Grantland.com - Evan Fournier/NBA Draft

I was contacted yesterday by Juliet Litman at Grantland/McSweeney's to do a really quick turnaround illustration for this morning's front page of Grantland.com. The story is about french basketball player Evan Fournier and the declining number of Europeans in the NBA today. Below are the rough sketches submitted before deciding on the final concept.

Grantland/McSweeney's - Killed Piece

A while back I was contacted to do another illustration for Grantland/McSweeney's. This time it was for a piece about the AFC/NFC championship games. It consisted of realtime emailing during the games between various writers for the site. There were a lot of components to illustrate but in the sketches I zeroed in a few. After taking one of the sketches to final they decided they wanted just Steven Tyler so I drew a bigger Stevie. After all this, unfortunately the piece was killed. These things happen sometimes and I at least now I have a grotesque Steven Tyler illustration to show you fine folks :)
