New City Paper illustrations

The top illustration is about a Satanic band call The Devil's Blood. The bottom illustration is about a campaign for Sheriff in Baltimore turning ugly.

Zappa Poster..might be done....

Barring any last minute changes, here is the poster I'll be making a large edition of to sell at the show. If you're in Baltimore please come out to this and buy an affordably priced print. I'll save about 50 for non Baltimore people.

Also there's a giant guitar in the middle because it's sponsored by Gibson....product placement...maybe I can get a Melody Maker out of it....I'll keep dreaming.

J Roddy Walston T Shirt Design

Check out their newest single Brave Man's Death. It's pretty damn good and that's no surprise. These guys have been my favorite Baltimore band for years and that's even if I didn't do their art.

Furthur Poster

Here's a super low res poster I recently illustrated for The Mann Center and AEG Live. Thanks Jon and Jen for another fun job. Like the series of posters I recently created this one will be handed out for free at the 2 concerts this weekend. After the shows I'll repost a higher res version.

Biggest Poster Job To Date!

Jon Hampton at AEG Live contacted me a while back with the idea to illustrate and design a set of 7 posters for upcoming concerts the were presenting at the Mann Center in Philadelphia. At first the posters were to all line up and connect one show at a time but the idea changed last week to make them all be able to connect to one another in any combination. This forced me to make the posters a little less dynamic but I'm still happy with them. I ended up with only 2 days to redraw and ink them all.

Check out the original sketch at the bottom to see what might have been. I might still finalize the original sketch later this summer when I have more time...just for fun. These posters will be given out for free at each show so be sure to grab one if you find yourself at any of these concerts. 6,000 will be printed for each show!

*I removed the larger images until after the shows are done but I'll add the low res colored versions after each show.

Very quick City Paper cover out today

Here's the original I sent and the printed version with all the type. It was a same day turnaround job and I'm not totally happy with the Uncle Sam but I think it turned out ok.
