Art Show Preview

Here are 4 portraits that will be in the show. I'm selling each for 100 or 2 for 150. Some other portraits will be of Debbie Harry, Nick Lowe, Bob Dylan, Merle Haggard, Paul McCartney, etc

Art Show......

I'm having another art show at Doughertys. This time the theme will be aging rockers. It will be sort of a before and after. I will of course have other various drawings and prints hanging up. Don't let the fact that it's at a bar fool you, this place knows what theyre doing and I promise you it will be fun. Plus there's going to be free twinkies and zebra cakes. What more could you want?

Healthy Body Sick Mind

Here's an illustration for Liz Spikols column. This week she wrote about the uselessness of certain antidepressants.

Way Down in a Hole

Brian Mcmanus at Philly Weekly wrote about how the Tom Waits' song "Way Down in a hole" relates to the show "The Wire." I started by drawing his portrait and then tried out 2 ideas. Here they are.

Marty and Shane....friends forever

This is an illustration for the Baltimore City Paper. Joe asked me to draw our then mayor Martin Omalley with Shane Macgowan. At his request I drew Omalley with Shane's trademark teeth...or lack there of. Pick up the City Paper Wednesday and read the great article that Neil Ferguson wrote about the Pogues. It will explain the illustration.

New Amerykahn Revolution

This one is for Philadelphia Weekly. Craig Lindsey wrote about Erykah Badu's new album. The funny thing is after I drew this I looked up the cover art and saw that the concept is similar to this illustration. I suppose I should have looked at the cover first but oh well.
